Our IPL / lasers target the hemoglobin (blood) in the veins or capillaries associated with these conditions, effectively closing off superficial blood vessels.
During spider vein removal treatments, light energy for IPL vascular treatment penetrates 590 nm of filtered light below the surface of the skin and is absorbed by these small blood vessels (spider veins). The heat caused by the absorption of the IPL energy to collapse the capillary walls together, closing off the blood flow and eliminating the superficial spider veins.
During spider vein removal treatments, there is a hot snapping sensation that will cause some discomfort. Treatments normally last between five plus minutes depending on the area treated. There is no “down time” associated with spider vein removal procedures, but there may be some “cat scratch” flakiness of the skin that occurs during the healing process.

Hypopigmentation, hyperpigmentation, blistering, scarring, textural changes, paradoxical increased hair growth, oedema, erythema, infections of the hair follicle, burns, tanning response of each of the six Fitzpatrick skin types, hair growth patterns change, tissue interaction with IPL hair reduction treatments, chromophores, melanin absorption, tanning issues, ageing and skin structural change, irritation, trauma, hypertrophic, keloid & abnormal scar tissue, client pain tolerance, can feel like a hot flicking elastic band sensation.
Treatment is inadvisable with the following
Cold Sores, Diabetes, Metal Implants, Anti Coagulants, Hormonal Conditions, Hormonal Medication,
